Our Office, as well as the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, recommends that your child visits the Dentist by his/her First Birthday.

Thank you for this opportunity to introduce you to our practice and our philosophy. Our goal is to make you and your child feel comfortable. To better prepare for the first visit, it is important that you know what to expect when you arrive for your child’s first dental appointment.

We make the experience fun for your child. We realize it is an adventure for young children and they will discover many things about their teeth and themselves. Every child is different- some will come in excited and others will feel apprehensive. By choosing a pediatric specialist, you are taking the first important step in creating a positive dental attitude for your child.

With specialized training and creating an environment that is filled with fun, Dr. Pandya hopes to give your child a good dental experience and to lay a positive foundation for years to come.

PARENTS ARE JUST AS IMPORTANT TO US AS OUR LITTLE PATIENTS

We work hard to alleviate any apprehension you may have by ensuring that you have all of the information you need. We will answer all of your questions and speak candidly with you about your child’s oral health and our recommendations. Working together, we can keep your child’s smile healthy and beautiful, with quality care that fits your budget.

Dr. Pandya understands that each parent will have different concerns and experiences with dental care for their child, so she takes her time to explain all treatment recommendations in detail.

YOU ARE WELCOME TO STAY WITH YOUR CHILD THROUGHOUT THE VISIT

For the first visit, we invite you to stay with your child during the initial examination. For future appointments, we recommend that you allow your child to accompany our staff through the dental experience. This will allow us to establish a closer rapport with your child when you are not present. Our purpose is to gain your child’s confidence and trust, and to help them overcome apprehension. For the safety and privacy of all patients, other children who are not being treated should remain in the reception room with a supervising adult.

YOU CAN HELP MAKE THE FIRST VISIT EVEN BETTER

As a parent, you can make your child’s first visit to the dentist enjoyable and positive.
Your child should be informed of the visit and told that the dentist and their staff will explain all procedures and answer any questions. It is best if you refrain from using words that might cause unnecessary fear, such as “shot”, “pull”, “drill” or “hurt”. Our office makes a practice of using words that convey the same message in a way that is pleasant and non-frightening to the child.

Before the first visit, be prepared to complete all health information and insurance forms that will allow us to begin your child’s dental treatment. For your convenience, you may download the new patient forms from this website and fill them out before your child’s appointment.

WE HAVE SEVERAL FINANCIAL OPTIONS FOR PAYMENT

We are network with several PPO insurance plans. In addition to filing insurance forms for you, we gladly accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express. Our staff will be happy to assist you with any questions you have.
